The Construction Cost Index (CCI) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia recorded an increase of 1.1% in June 2025 compared to the same period in 2024, according to data released by the General Authority for Statistics.
The report showed that the CCI rose to 101.2 points in June 2025 (based on the 2023 base year), compared to 100.1 points in June 2024.
The Authority stated that the rise in the index was driven by a 1.2% increase in residential construction costs and a 1% increase in non-residential construction costs.
The Authority defined the Construction Cost Index as a relative number that measures the change in construction costs over two time periods for a basket of building materials and construction services. It is considered a key indicator used by planners and researchers in the fields of development and production.
