Tayseer Al-Mufarrej, Director General of Strategic Communication and Official Spokesperson for the General Real Estate Authority, stated that over two years of implementing the Real Estate Brokerage System (from July 18, 2023, to July 18, 2025), the authority has achieved numerous positive indicators in the brokerage sector — most notably, real estate transactions totaling approximately SAR 1.2 trillion, resulting from over 8 million transactions.
In his opening remarks at the Real Estate Brokerage Forum 2025, Al-Mufarrej noted that the number of licensed real estate brokers has exceeded 86,000, along with 75 electronic real estate platforms hosting over 685,000 property listings.
He added that the Real Estate Brokerage System has fundamentally transformed the structure of the sector by turning brokerage into a licensed profession governed by clear regulations, responsibilities, and standards. He emphasized that these figures reflect the magnitude of the Saudi real estate market and the confidence of both local and international investors.
